Background:
Leadership is as old as human history but it has been misunderstood in many ways. Many people associate leadership with positions, titles, and as if reserved for few who are born with leadership attributes.
In some cultures and traditions, leadership is
discouraged or less appreciated. Besides, there are
multitudes of people who may
avoid leadership because of past bad experiences with
their leaders. Still in some countries, many may be appalled by
observing the awful fate of those who ventured to
assume leadership roles that they refrain from becoming
leaders. The list could continue.

Because of the
aforementioned and many other reasons, many people have
been living under their potential and withheld their much needed
leadership contributions for the improvement of their lives, families, communities, organizations, and nations.

On the other hand, there are many community and small
organization leaders who are convinced the importance
of leadership and trying their best to serve their
people with zeal and commitment. These leaders could have maximized their leadership service if they would get supports to further develop their leadership skills and personality. For some, getting such opportunities may be
unaffordable while for some inaccessible. Therefore, PRO Leadership Global
was born to contribute
its share towards alleviating the above two main challenges.
About the
Founder
The founder of the
corporation is Dr. Assegid Habtewold. He has been one of
the victims of
the aforementioned challenges since his pro leadership
journey started in 1993. Assegid has a deep belief
that his journey could have been easier, smoother, and better if there were organizations that promote leadership, and provide leadership resources and programs for guys like him.
Because of that, he determined to contribute his share towards alleviating these and similar challenges- together with
partners and supporters- so that the pro leadership journey of many prospect leaders,
who face the same kinds of challenges on daily basis, may become a little easier than his.

Promoting leadership
in those communities and organizations where leadership
is not recognized well takes to create awareness about the critical role leadership plays at various levels. Using variety of means and technologies, PRO Leadership promotes leadership
to increase awareness about the positive role leadership
plays for the well being of individuals, families, and
communities. Towards this end, it also tries its best to provide relevant and latest leadership resources, concepts, and insights. In producing leaders, PRO Leadership will design different kinds of basic, medium, and advanced level of trainings, conferences, and mentoring programs. |

raising leaders of the 21st C starting from the metro
area.
Though the organization starts its mission from DC Metro area
and among communities and organizations that desperately
and immediately need its services,
it will partner with
individuals and organizations globally to meet its
global mandate.
